Our team would like to thank crosire for his amazing work in creating and developing ReShade, and Marty McFly, developer of the incredible new qUINT shaders, and many more of our favourite shaders.
We would also like to thank Miiolk, creator of the legendary Angelite preset, whose incredible preset and screenshots have been such an inspiration to us, and motivated us to follow her example and share our tools with the rest of the community.
Finally we would like to thank Nico, the creator of another custom ReShade build named Stormshade. It was his work that first brought to our attention that the network activity check could be disabled, and inspired us to create our own custom build. Installation Instructions.
I tried this in the past with ENB's wrapper, iirc, didn't work then either. I'm hoping this can be fixed. I must ask, is there any way you can collaborate with atom0s to bring ReShade to Ashita as a plugin? This would make a ton of people ecstatic about being able to finally bring some much needed eye candy into Final Fantasy XI. Couldn't you create an API that could tie the two together somehow since you're not open source?Post Posted: Thu Nov 09, pm.
Hello some of you may have seen me on the server strolling around with my gimp warrior, anyways this is the shader mod i use for FFXI to make it look even prettier after setting the res to the ashita provided to us those this already.
Be warned this does put more strain on the cpu since we convert dx7 calls to dx9 so reshade can work, dgvoodoo converts the api calls, reshade injects the shaders for effect like DOF,AO,Sharpening,FXAA etc. Post Posted: Thu Jan 04, am. There is a version of dgvoodoo that doesn't make that happen. You can also use the dx9 ashita proxy and avoid dgvoodoo. I actually created a really nice one for FF IX, that I should probably release, but sadly sfx files should no longer be distributed, so I have to think of an easy way to provide the preset itself and a tutorial on how to apply it to the reshade framework.
This preset "could" work, but the borders might be slightly bigger or smaller. It doesn't hurt to give it a shot. As in apply this border fix to FFix in the same way? I didn't realise it'd be thay simple! Is it quite simple to do border fixes?
I'd like to apply custom fixes to FF and 9 as they're all a little off in different ways. One method is to stretch it, like the rest of the games, or another is to replace the grey bars with black ones. I personally play with the black bars on FFIX since the game isn't sprite based and since the bars are quite large. You can alter the values on the fly, without restarting the game.

But others are running into trouble with it -- especially when they try to uninstall ReShade. In this short guide, we're going to go over what this third-party software can add to your games, and how you can uninstall it if you decide that it simply isn't right for you.
You can use ReShade to achieve some pretty stunning visuals in your games, and the software gives you total control over a number of settings that will let you tweak the graphics of your favorite games to your precise specifications. However, using ReShade does have a few drawbacks. There's also the sad truth that any third-party modification to a game is bound to cause issues -- whether it's due to software incompatibilities, a lack of dev support for mods, or some other reason.
If you decide that ReShade simply isn't sustainable with your rig or is causing too many problems with your games, you can uninstall it. But the process for doing so isn't very obvious like it is with other programs. Going through the normal uninstall routines of other programs might not necessarily work here. But there's one method that's a surefire way to completely remove ReShade from your PC. ReShade may seem pretty intimidating to uninstall, especially if you installed it manually.
But doing so is as simple as removing the files it added to your game directory -- specifically, the. To access these files, you'll need to go to each game's directory until you see something that looks like this:. Once you've navigated to the right folder, the filenames you'll see depend on which graphics API you selected when you installed ReShade. Hunt down these files and delete them to remove ReShade from any game.
You'll also want to trash the reshade-shaders folder if you downloaded any shaders. If you follow these steps for a Steam game, make sure you verify the game files afterwards so that you can restore anything that was lost upon installing this program in the first place. If you don't want to uninstall Reshade entirely, but do want to improve how it performs with your game, check out our guide to using ReShade with all your favorite games for any tips and tricks you might need.
How to Uninstall ReShade. Kengaskhan Contributor.Final Fantasy XI for the PC has a number of different settings relating to the quality of graphics used in the game.
This guide assumes the user has a basic understanding of computers. It is not intended as a beginner's guide. Altering the Windows Registry is dangerous, and improper adjustments could prevent FFXI from working or even prevent Windows from functioning altogether. Alter these settings at your own risk and always make backups before making changes!
All modifications to the settings of the game described in this guide will be done with a program called Regedit. Before making any changes to the above key, it is recommended that you create a backup. Choose a location to save the ". REG" file and remember where you save it.
Final Fantasy XI crashing on load
In the event that you alter the registry in a way that breaks Final Fantasy XI, simply double-click on the ". REG" file to copy the original settings back in. Please note that all values given in this guide for altering the registry are in decimal base 10while the default for the registry is hexadecimal base When modifying numeric values, please make sure all values you enter are in decimal. If not, any values greater than 9 that you input will be saved incorrectly. The screen resolution is defined in values and of the registry key.
It represents the physical number of pixels displayed on your screen. Value represents the width of the screen and value represents the height of the screen.
Therefore, when a resolution of "x" is referenced, this means pixels wide, pixels tall. If you wish to run your game in x resolution, you would set value to "" and to "". As mentioned above, please make sure you enter the values in decimal, not hexadecimal. This setting is very delicate, and can only be set to a limited number of supported resolutions. It is important that both your video card and your monitor support the screen resolution, or the game will not work.
This is NOT to be confused with the background 3-D resolution. This is the resolution at which the game will be displayed on the screen, and has a greater impact on things such as menus, chat logs, and other 2-D artifacts than it does on the 3-D environment. This setting should be adjusted more based on what feels natural than what provides more detail. For players with an LCD monitor, it is usually best to use the native resolution of that monitor the highest allowed, often x The "native resolution" is the physical resolution of the monitor, if you try to display a lower resolution then it will earn you slightly better performance but the image will be distorted in order to display it on your monitor.
This is not the case for CRT monitors, which can actually change their physical resolution to match the computer's output.
